DAY 5: THE SURPRISE!

We were all really excited about how the day would go today, but we couldn't have been prepared for how great the yard was where Luna and I spent much of the day!
And we were so so lucky that the weather in Park City was so nice - it was sunny and about 70-something degrees! I needed sunscreen!

When Luna and I arrived at the condo described as "Party Ground Zero," we RAN to the fenced-in back yard and set up our 'camp' for the day.

OUR CAMP!
We spread our stuff out and relaxed in the sun. The Condo Posse included Mr. & Mrs. Hoffer (The Surprisee Ori's Mom and Dad), and Aunt Myrna (his Aunt), Barry (his cousin), John and his girls (fraternity brother and his kids), my Matteo (fraternity brother), Max (childhood friend) and our new favorite friend Amy (Max's girlfriend), and Yay! Ronit (his sister)!

People came out and talked to us, we walked part of the Rail Trail and then we got ready for the party! Lori and her sister Erin had all the food prepared and it was time to head out to the party site and make it all happen!

The food was beautiful. Lori and Erin made everything gorgeous. The Entire Condo Posse helped:

And then Ori Came!
It may not be a video for those of you who don't really know him, but I had to include it, you know?

For those of you who don't know, I'll briefly mention that our Black Lab Luna is a Service Dog to me for Hypoglycemia. She was allowed to be at the party for my safety...and I ended up needing her. With the excitement of travel and The Surprise and waiting to eat the wonderful food, I got into a bad blood sugar place and Luna was On Duty. I sat down and ate and was ok, but it takes a bit to recover. That combined with the busy Yard Day which did not allow for a nap produced a Luna that looked like this:

We were both exhausted after the fantastic party. Ori's wife and family created a wonderful memory. I cried when I hugged Ori and he cried and we all cried and it was just an emotionally fun experience. Luna thought so too.

We plan to spend the day all together tomorrow hanging and out and re-experiencing the excitements and love of today.

More to tell sooon!
